elope
Your elopement day shouldn’t be just a photoshoot.
It should be an unforgettable experience.
The day is filled with incredible, invaluable moments. I’ll help you relive them through capturing the intimate moments, all the little details and the epic scenery.
love
At nightfall, you sit outside by a bonfire underneath the starry sky.
Part of what you get is help to search for the perfect locations, creating a timeline and vendor suggestions.
All tailored to you!
how much coverage?
Don’t worry.
I don’t consider an elopement day to be a long photoshoot. It’s about the story. Your story. And it deserves the same attention as any other wedding day. The coverage often starts during the preparations; getting your hair done and dress on. Maybe you’re hiking or driving to your ceremony location.
That's part of it!
Evening bonfire and champagne celebrations, and maybe also a spectacular day-after hike. Make sure it’s all documented. After all- photos are the best way to keep the memories alive. The lighting is always best around sunset (or sunrise), so we always make sure you get enough coverage to catch that light.
-

This is enough time to cover getting ready, your ceremony, portraits in several locations, and celebrations in an incredible location, as well as the whole day before or after. We can spend the days hiking, road-tripping, or exploring by other means of transportation.
-

You’ll get the image files in high resolution. And there's no cap on the amount. Edited in my style of course, ready to use. You can download them, share them with your loved ones and you get personal printing rights.

Frequently asked questions
First and foremost I want to get to know you. I ask lots of questions and spend a lot of time researching and location scouting. That way the photos you get will be all about you in the best possible way. No template, no set package you have to fit into, and nothing is standardized. All elopements are unique and documenting the day is so important. From the little details to the scenery to the way you look at each other.
Your elopement should be tailored to fit you - not the other way around. We plan the day to make it suit who you are and what you want.
You can elope pretty much anywhere in the world which means an endless amount of choices. I understand how overwhelming this can feel and part of what I do is help you narrow down the options and find the best locations. We’ll go over the climate you prefer, the scenery, what you’d love to do on your day.
I always recommend you start with dreaming and imagining. Reason and logistics come second.
Don’t worry. Pretty much everyone I photograph says the same thing. Which is why I think the natural approach I use is so brilliant. I make it all about you two together. No looking at the camera, no cheesy poses. Just you, just the way you are.
Keep in mind this isn’t a photoshoot where you have to pose and act like someone else. This is your special day and you just have to be you.
The best reason to have your photographer with you all day is to make sure you get to treasure all the little moments forever. Not just the highlight-reel of the ceremony and the epic portraits but also all the fun things you do, and the sweet moments in between.
I try to blend in with the background and give you your privacy but at the same time make sure we know each other well so you’ll feel like you’re hanging out with a friend.
You deserve the best memories from your elopement day.
Of course, you can invite whoever you want to. It’s your day!
Again, it’s your day, and you decide. Most likely you will want to include some vows, and maybe an officiant. It’s up to you if you want to make it legal or not. You can have music, family present and pop a bottle of champagne. Hand tying, ring exchange, as many kisses as you want. And maybe you want to surprise your partner with something special? Your call, but I’m happy to give you suggestions.
The best time is when the light is really low like around sunset or sunrise. But the more time we have, the more time for variations and in-between moments.
It no longer bad luck to see each other before the ceremony. And it’s actually so nice to set up a “first look”. You get to see the excitement in your partner’s face when they first lay eyes on you all ready. This is the moment when it all becomes so real, and the day really begins.
The amount of gorgeous locations can feel endless, but no worries, I’m here to help you navigate your options. Once I know you a bit better I’m able to suggest only a handful of places that are a good fit for you.
That depends on where you’re eloping, and where you’re from. Some places make it easy, others more complicated. Usually you’ll need an officiant and there’s a bit of paperwork involved. But you know what?! Getting legally married at home, and spending your elopement day, and the time leading up to it, stress- and worry-free, might be just as nice.
Well, that depends. In some places, if you want to go the legal route, then yes, you’ll need some witnesses present. But of course - I’ll happily be one of them.
Then don’t! Your elopement day won’t lose any significance. And you’ll even be more flexible if you’re not dependent on meeting up with an officiant anywhere.
The weather is the one thing we can’t predict or change. That’s why it’s important to prepare, both practically and especially mentally. Bring warm clothes, and a change of clothes. Try to keep an open mind when it comes to your ceremony location.
Braving the elements to get married outdoors is kinda romantic if you ask me.
For about 10 years. I started photographing more traditional weddings (though usually more untraditional ones at that). When I discovered elopements it was like finding the missing piece of the puzzle. Choosing to elope is something I can totally relate to. Being chosen to document a couples special day means so much to me.
There is no cap or set amount. I’m not holding back on anything, and I’m giving you the very best selection of the photos. These are your memories, and I wouldn’t want you to miss out on anything.
Your photos will be delivered to you digitally within 8 weeks of your elopement day.
Oh, you know.. That’s kind of like me asking my favorite chocolate factory if I can have all their ingredients so I can make my own. Even though I have a lot of experience in eating it, I don’t have the equipment or the recipe to make it myself. Unfortunately.
Your images are processed in my style, using my own recipe if you will, so giving you the raw files means you’re missing out. Also- I don’t want my images out there edited in a different style than my own.
I use Adobe Lightroom for my post-processing, and have discovered my own style for my photos. I like muted color tones, and exciting contrasts, and some photos will look best in black and white. I stick to the natural, and only remove distracting objects, spots etc.
You look good the way you are! Trust me! If you have something temporary like a scrape or a blemish that you don’t want showing in the photos, then of course I’ll take care of that for you.
Generally speaking, what you wear should match who you are and what you’re comfortable in. As well as the kind of day you’ve chosen. Location and activities planned matter a great deal. Winter and snow demands a whole other outfit than a beach wedding. I’ll be sure to send suggestions your way though.
Do I!? Finding the best locations, the vendors you need to cross the t’s and dot the i’s- it’s SO MUCH FUN. I’ll make sure to give you suggestions for activities and a timeline as well.
Rain can make for some stunning photos, and it can be kind of fun too if you let it. Your day is your day, no matter the weather. But, should it be impossible to venture outside, we’ll have to come up with a new plan, or reschedule. No matter how much I love planning, I can’t do anything about the weather.
Whatever payments you have made are non-refundable, and a new date has to be confirmed. This is not to be difficult, but if travel arrangements have been made there is no way around this. If you are changing your date I’ll be as flexible as I can.
Well, of course your travel costs. Any costs for the vendors you choose. And if applicable any entry fees and if you need any special modes of transportation.
This has never happened to me, but I am fortunate to have a network around me with lots of talented photographers, who are all ready to step up should need be.
Get in touch with me so we can set up a call and take it from there. We want to make sure we’re on the same page before taking it to the next level. In order for us to start planning we’ll sign a contract, and once the retainer is paid we’re good to go. Can’t wait to hear from you.
